Headache

I have a constant headache created by the elbow to my eye socket. I turned my head at the exact moment that Scott outstretched his arm. His elbow connected with the eyebrow bone. I have never experienced pain quite like that before. I immediately started crying and my brow felt as if it had been split open. The power was out at the time and I couldn't tell if the moisture I was feeling was tears or blood. Thankfully it was only tears. The bruising isn't quite as ugly or noticeable as I had imagined. The sad fact is that my eyes are always kind of bloated and grey. Too much stress and too little sleep. I am experiencing my own kind of low about the New Year. My ex has decided that he is in love with me and cannot live life knowing I am not his... All brought on by an urgent sense of jealously. Sigh. I am at a huge crossroad in my life. I am not sure how to handle his revelation or what my own desires are now. I am sad that I will be seperated from everyone I love tonight. Even the family standby New Year's party is a no go. Here is to a better tomorrow.

Shopping

I did some shopping this weekend. I bought clothes for my son for Christmas, some of the shirts are these really vibrant primary colors. I look forward to seeing his little face in them. I bought a really great floor lamp that delights me to no end now that it is assembled. It was inexpensive and seems to be a bit cheap and it was very difficult to screw in the lightbulbs. I hope they last a while as I don't want to go through that stress anytime soon. I also purchased a delightful welcome mat. It has daisies and spirals :) Reminds me of the hippy flowers Nicole and I used to draw. This was my first weekend really without my son. I was fairly productive. I was finally able to rearrange my room to accomodate my computer desk so I should be online again somewhat soon. I am not thrilled at the prospect of being back on dial-up but what is a girl to do. I have had a very productive day at work and would now like to leave :) I miss all of you out there!

Blues

I have the winter/holiday blues brought on by too little sunshine and a new awareness of how different my life is and will continue to be. Right now I am not really capable of celebrating the positives. Maybe that will change a bit this weekend when I should have several hours dedicated to getting my new living space in order. It will probably be a few more weeks before I am really able to decorate as purchases like a hammer and a poster frame are finally possible. While contemplating a very slighly plausible rendevous with a male I was struck by just how hard the thought is to process of touching another body. It has been so many years...

Oy!

Hello anyone.... I am back at work after quite the long absence. It was technically a vacation but I spent much more than 40+ hours moving out of my old place. I wish I had something exciting to say but I don't really. This is the first time in my 28 years that I have lived somewhere without another adult in the house. It feels weird but not completely freaky. Right now I am without a computer at my home so the only time I have to read or post is on my lunch at work.
